The coming rear seat entertainment revolution
In order to include the Faurecia Aptoide Automotive App Store in upcoming automobiles, Faurecia and the BMW Group have established a cooperation.
Customers will have access to several applications through
the vehicle's entertainment system thanks to the adaptable solution from
Faurecia.
It already addresses a variety of demands and use cases,
including navigation, on-demand music, audiobooks, video streaming, gaming market,
weather, and parking.
The platform is open to future additions of the application
offering and is scalable. The Faurecia Aptoide platform's secure connection
enables automated over-the-air content updates and enlargement. Faurecia
facilitates innovative business models with third parties while protecting the
privacy of its clients' data with integrated and cybersafe technology.
According to Ralf Drauz, managing director of Faurecia
Clarion Electronics in Germany, "Our Faurecia Aptoide solution, which is
already deployed in 3M cars, has the aim to influence the onboard entertainment
experience."
"We are thrilled to provide our applications solution
to a famous automaker like the BMW Group," says the company.
In order to create the Faurecia Aptoide Automotive App Store
as a cross-manufacturer standard solution, Faurecia noted that it is in
discussions with additional, undisclosed OEMs.
